I asked my husband for 15 minutes.
I adore him and our two baby boys. Our oldest is 18 months and youngest is 12 weeks today. I thank God for blessing me so sweetly with my precious family. I can take a deep breath in and then breathe out thanks and joy and wonder at the story He is creating. About me, I am going on 15 months of being a Stay-At-Home-Mom, a title I so excitedly took on about three months after our first child was born. I’m still so excited now. Each morning I awake to a romance. It is in the handsome face of my husband who embraces me with a smile. It’s in the hug of our oldest son and in the eyes of our youngest. It is powerful, and it is big. It is from above.
Today, I decided to ask for 15 minutes. 15 minutes to be alone. 15 minutes to sit here at my husband’s computer and share thoughts that bubble up from within. My hope is to take others of you with me on a 15 minute journey that this Mommy begins to learn more about being a Mommy, being a Wife, being a Daughter of our King.
In reality, my 15 minutes turned into about 60. I can hear the pitter-patter of little footsteps downstairs and the cry of a hungry boy ready for his Mommy. I’m coming, my love, I’m coming.
